Learning Never Ends

We teach our children and they also go to school to learn.  The learning or the instruction should not stop at the school or within our homes.

Learning does not end when we become adults. Daily we should be seeking the wisdom and instruction of God. He is the greatest teacher. Jesus was also called Rabbi or teacher. The lessons God has for us never end. We have to be willing to learn and grow or we will miss what he is teaching us. No matter how old we are we all need a teacher, a Rabbi, God…and we should never stop listening to His instructions for our life. We should be digging into our text book…the Bible. And we need to do so on a regular basis.

I love psalm 119:33,34 in the Message transition:

God, teach me lessons for so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—my whole life one long, obedient response.

Lord, today I pray that whoever reads this will seek to learn from you. That they will open their bible and dig in. I pray that daily they will learn from you and find lessons from you in the most unexpected things. Thank you for being our teacher and for always wanting to help us grow in wisdom. Amen

Remember that learning does not end just because you are an adult.

Have a Simply Blessed day:)

Do Not Be Ashamed

Sunset over Priest Lake

Today my word for you is simply…”Be a light”. Do not be ashamed of who you are in Christ. Let your light shine for all to see because that light has the ability to guide others out of the darkness. Matthew 5:14-16 is the perfect verse for when it comes to being a light. Today, I want to share it with you in the message translation and I hope you like it…

“Here’s another way to put it: you’re here to be a light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a blanket, do you? I’m putting you on the light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand-shine! Keep open house;  be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, your prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven”. Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message)

I hope that you are never ashamed or afraid to let your light shine for Jesus. Always be a beacon of hope for those in the dark.
