Kim (the Midlife Domestic Goddess) sees God in the everyday things that others may so often find mundane. It is in these day-to-day real life situations that she finds lessons from God. These practical lessons find their way from Kim’s heart to her keyboard. Kim is a popular contributor for The Whatever Girls Ministry and Living Better 50 magazine.
Her passion is helping women of all ages understand how much God loves them. She was honored to be a speaker in a media seminar at the 2013 CWIMA (Christian Women in Media Association) national conference and is a member of their Speakers Bureau. God continues to open doors for future speaking engagements where Kim can share her heart for Him.
Kim is a member of City Life Church’s Leadership team and has a degree in Sociology (crime and corrections). As time allows she takes classes at Portland Bible College, always learning and growing. She is wife of 26 years and mother of two. In April of 2014, Kim joined the Board of Directors of Transitions. Transitions’ mission is to end poverty and homelessness for women and children in Spokane. This is another cause close to Kim’s heart.
Kim, aka “Momma Chaffy” also has a heart for youth. Years ago God put it on her heart to widen her tent stakes and be a mother to many. As soon as she said, “YES”, God has brought one amazing youth after another into her life.
Currently, Kim is working on her first book, a collection of her heartfelt ramblings.
